To Save or To Splurge

I can't help myself sometimes.. I love shopping.. and if I have the money, I'd buy my heart's desire.. which is not good. i tend to buy on impulse.. one habit i must quit. i need to start saving more.. or put my money to better use.. budget is tight as it is. so why on earth did i sign up for a magazine subscription with that sales fellow who approached me at work? again, i couldn't help myself.. the offer was too good to resist - subscribe to one magazine and get two others free! so i could have bought them off the news stand seeing that i don't normally read each month's issue of a particular magazine. so again, why did i subscibe? apart of me tells me that it's for sharing with others.. like my family.. but deep down i know it's only to satisfy my desire. a desire to spend? how evil could that be??!

i must, i must, i must start SAVING!! or else.. find other sources of halal income.. which is what i've been seeking for quite some time now.. SAVE Money..otherwise work for MORE!!

Crocs!

Hehe.. i just bought myself my second pair of crocs! the new one being a gold colored mary jane. i absolutely adore them!! to make it truly mommy style, i've put on it a too cute butterfly jibbitz:D absolutely love them!! they not only look good but feel great on my feet too! aahh..maybe, i'll have a few more to add to this collection - a sueded alice perhaps? (still not available in Malaysia);)

Why mommy loves crocs:-

(Quoting from crocs' website)

Mary Janes are sporty, yet totally chic;
• slip-resistant and non-marking soles;
• anti-microbial and odor resistant; and
• made with croslite tm material.

Beach being their original model and my first pair of crocs (i bought it in fuschia pink)are:

• comfortable, cool, and molds to your feet;
• orthotic foot bed; advanced toe-box ventilation system;
• slip-resistant and non-marking soles;
• anti-microbial and odor resistant;
• ergonomic italian styling; wide, roomy foot bed; made with croslite PCCR material; and
• buoyant; weighs only ounces.

My fave place to look for crocs is Ikano at Mutiara Damansara..more choices and staff are trained to help you pick the right pair:)

Late Merdeka

It's been a few days since I last updated. I hope it's not too late to wish all Malaysians a Happy 50th Merdeka!(ok, it's too late..)

I am still having to complete my fast.. I've discovered that eating pure honey mixed into a glass a water really helps increase my energy level - far more effective than eating the expensive spirulina and gamat mixture i recently bought. i also came across a rather disturbing info(?) on spirulina - that it is usually cultivated in unhygienic water.. wonder if anyone can confirm this?

A few minutes ago, i came across another insightful blog by mujahid with an article on power foods for creating geniuses (an age old Islamic secret). so i'm adding him to my link..

ok, gtg!

weekend update

Daddy's starting his new job at OCBC's call centre today. Mummy wishes Daddy the best of luck. I know you can do it dear!

As for Hariz, he's doing pretty well. I've started him on Baby Genius's Language flash cards and he seems to like it ok. at present his attention span is close to a minute but i'm sure we'll build up on it in time. *hey, this is my first home schooling enrty!*

For myself, I bought food supplement in the form of spirulina gamat.- a liquid mixture of both to provide double of its' benefits. hopefully this will help increase my energy level and sustain hunger since i need to start fasting again this week and the next. To those who are in the same boat as me i wish you a "happy fasting" (ganti puasa or puasa sunat, that is)!

p.s. i really want to watch high school musical 2 (tv debut early next month) but we don't have disney channel. wonder whether it's available on dvd...

Puku Petit Wanted!!

I visited the Parenthood Expo at MidValley last Saturday. Crowded as usual and extra tiring when you have to drag your baby and ever so reluctant hubby along (actually hubby was a good sport and i love him for that- hehehe;)). However, we managed to find some very useful products at delightful prices. I bought my son an edible toothpaste which comes with a toothbrush where parents can put their finger in; a Puku Petit milk bottle with nipple and straw which my son loves cuz he can drink it sitting down (he breastfeeds and usually hates bottles and latex nipples so I am absolutely raving about this product!!); and lastly a baby jogger (which we bought due to the timely break down of our anakku stroller and which is our most pricey buy of the day!!). and the reason why this entry is entitled puku petit is because i am frantically trying to find a shop that sells this product since i received no brochures during the expo.. can anybody help?

whatever..

it's 4am. they're both sleeping.. i'm awake looking for free website templates to install.. still not asleep due to stomache ache that comes and goes.

spent alot of money today. mostly on hariz. bought him toys (duplo-legos and play farm with horses), clothes and a drinking cup.

still feel like buying myself the neeta herbal shampoo set. had a RM13 hair wash at the bangi branch last week. the product's great! shampoo with no foam - all natural ingredients. love it!! hmm.. have to wait for my claim.. it's so much easier splashing on others.. but i have to think longer when it comes to myself.. or is that not true anymore..

karma.. do good unto others and be rewarded triplefold..

House Hunting

my husband and i are looking for house we can call our home. it's the search for our dream home. and i think we've nearly found it. had already arranged a meeting with an agent for this evening.. lovely house (double story link, not at all grand looking but the neighbourhood is gorgeous), serene area... hope it looks better inside than the outside.. and i'm being really positive about this.. the house is pricey.. but i just know we'll find a way to be able to afford this. so the next meet i have to arrange is with bank rakyat..
